Comments: First impressions are good. Time will tell how well it will hold up but it seems decent. It's about an 1/8" of firm leather. The lace was pretty useless so I replaced it with a length of tarred decoy line instead and it works way better. All in all I'm happy with it.

Comments: Not sure if it is genuine leather or what it is made of. I have the Casstrom guard and will be staying with them in future. Their guard is leather and works for protecting your handle.

Comments: Very nice product. And it looks great on my Chopper One. The chopper one lasted so long that the Hickory handle finally worn out one wrong crack and poop. New Hickory handle double sink on top and with this little leather jacket it should be perfect. Not crazy about the square srapping but I expoxied the the whole back strapping.
Never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait to start chopping some wood
PS, will probably change the leather straps for 550 nylon. Just gotta wait for it to patina. Also if you chop a lot of wood, buy a chopper 1 2 or 3. You'll save your money and back surgeries alone. This literally throws logs 3ft either direction.

Comments: Leather is a bit thin for my liking although it protects axe handle from overstrike damage.
The provided laces were low quality, broke in half when I was lacing up the cover.

Soon I’m going to re lace it with some better laces.
Leather cover does slip down a bit on overstrike and requires it to be slid back into position. I Plan to soak the leather a bit I. Water prior to lacing so it can dry tightly over the handle.
