Question:Does this have any thermal capabilities or would I need to koozie my beverage and then place in holder?
Answer:Unfortunately its not big enough to hold a drink in a koozie. Its not really insulated either. Its just a leather pouch with a flannell type lining. Big enough to hold a 29 oz. drink or cell phone.

I would say it has minimal thermal benefits but if your koozie is thin then the bev with koozie will slide into the pouch. Added benefit is that the whole pouch easily disconnects from bike handlebars with a simple snap connection so bev in koozie in pouch goes with you when you arrive at your destination.

Answer:It can hold a 20 oz. drink
